The Parish Council is the first tier of Local Government and exists to represent the interests of the parish. In many cases the role is advisory only, with the final decisions resting with the District Council. There are nine parish councillors, elected every four years. If vacancies occur in-between elections, details will be published on the website and on noticeboards. The role of parish councillor is voluntary and attracts no payment. The parish council meet on the third Wednesday of every month, with no meeting in August or December, unless there are planning applications requiring discussion.
